Chairman Sola Meets with Danish Ambassador

Federal Maritime Commission Chairman Louis E. Sola met Monday with Ambassador of Denmark to the United States Jesper Moller Sorenson.

The two discussed strengths of the bilateral U.S.-Denmark relationship as well as a variety of topics related to shipping, logistics, and international trade.  Chairman Sola specifically highlighted the many opportunities for investment in the U.S. port infrastructure and port equipment sectors.

“Denmark is an important maritime nation that is home to leading companies in the shipping and logistics sectors.  Ambassador Sorenson and I had a wide ranging, substantive discussion about not just matters of common concern, but also those of shared priorities.  I believe abundant opportunities for increased cooperation between the United States and Denmark exist.  I am confident we can find mutually beneficial projects related to shipping, port infrastructure, logistics, and new marine fuels.  I look forward to exploring all these possibilities in greater detail,” said Chairman Sola.

The meeting took place at the Ambassador’s residence.
